Manny Paquaio on why he didn't want to take the blood test [interview]

Yep. Joe McCarthy.
Basically, McCarthyism is the practice of accusing someone of a crime without any evidence to their guilt. In McCarthy's case, he accused people of being Communists, and used his position as Senator to subpoena individuals into testifying under oath about their "Communist activities."
The practice was ultimately declared unconstitutional and Un-American.Comment

Personally,I believe Manny lacks any real depth with his logic of the blood tests. The manner in which he responds seems to be "thought-out" yet lacks any reasoning.
After hearing these series of excuses before the current one, it just seems dodgy to me...when you have this many excuses and cannot seem to get the story straight from day one,I would believe there is a severe problem-especially when you compare the difference from the first excuse and contrast and compare it to the more recent one.It forces su****ion to any neutral, objective and logical person.
1-fear of needles
2-fear of blood
3-supersticion
4-it will "weaken" him before a few days
5-only 24 days before the fight
6-he won't be bullied by Floyd
7 pride
Fabulous post!!!!! But I got to say, some of the reasons on your list have never been uttered by Pacquiao---his only reason was being weakend by drawing blood---the others seems to have come from *******s or Arum which he clarified in later statements.Comment

Fookin Americans su****ious of the guy because he doesn't speak and comprehend your language like a native. He has to translate each word into his own and at the same time, compose an answer, and then translate back into your language. Saying oohhs and aahhs in between responses do not indicate guilt, except of course, in the minds of those who are already convinced of his guilt.
For those of us who take his answers for what they are, it's clear as day that he thinks bloodletting will have a disrupting and weakening effect on him.
If any american superstar gave an interview like that hed be guilty in the court of public opinion without hesitation. Its because hes NOT american is why there isnt a huge ****storm surrounding him right now.
Either way the reasoning was ******, and mosley agreeing, wether people say hes "desperate" or whatever, the fact is, he has nothing to hide, if mosley and others can agree, pac should do the same.Comment

Is Pacquiao-Mayweather debacle beginning of change in boxing's drug culture?Comment

That's my point...if he cannot articulate his position clearly what do his statements really mean?
Pacquiao has repeated the same statements before, over and over. He said just not on the day of the fight but agrees only to 24 days? I mean, doesn't that sound so illogical yet some people compliment how cunning and deceptive Pacquiao is.
Look at all of Pacquiao's statements if you like...he never wanted blood testing that would interfere with his training leading up to the fight and any before the fight. Call it fishy but he has never waivered from this stance.Comment

I think anyone with an unbiased view who followed what was happening realizes that the fight was doomed once Golden Boy refused to go to Dallas.
My theory: Arum promised to deliver a Pacquiao fight to Cowboys Stadium behind the scenes with Jones without Schaefer's knowledge. Once it was clear Golden Boy/Mayweather wanted the fight in Dallas, Arum was looking for ways to get out of the fight. Every day, even when there were reports that Pacquiao and Roach were willing to compromise on the blood tests, Arum was busy giving deadlines and ultimatums and talking about how the fight was dead. It also explains why they were able to put together a deal for Pacquiao-Clottey so quickly. He was the only person involved who looked like he didn't want the fight to take place.
Bob Arum killed the fight.
thats a new take on the situation.....good postComment
