That would be an awesome fight. But Berto is grieving, man. He has just lost loved ones. He needs time to grieve, make sure his clan is OK, before he can get his mind back to fighting.

someone already posted this but this fight makes perfect sense to me. A big pay day for both. Another quality WW for Cotto and a good step up in competition for Berto.

Nope. Berto is a Haymon fighter and Cotto is still with Bob they don't do business together yet. Bob likes to keep everything in house so Cotto will fight Boreman. Berto will have the inside track on the winner of the Mosley/Mayweather fight if a Pac deal falls apart again.

I agree. I'm also curious to see how he does at 154. I think he can clean the division. Take away those belts from guys like Foreman and Dzinziruk(who has also been wanting to get a big fight in the states for a while now).

What about Cotto-Berto?
