How do you all feel about that question? Not the Shane Mosley today. But the prime Mosley. Would he have more trouble against this Mayweather than he did with Winky/Vernon
Would Floyd be tougher for a prime Mosley than Prime Vernon Forrest-RIP/Winky Wright?

Its hard to say because no one really knows how good this version of Floyd is. The pre retirment Floyd I dont think would do better than those other 2 guys because I dont feel Floyd was big enough. He was only coming into the ring at like 147. This version has grown into his body more so I think he will be alot better at WW now than he was before his retirment but its hard to say until after we see him in another fight. Winky & Vernon were so big though and we have to remember that Winky was at 154 so its a bit harder to judgeComment

I actually feel the same way about Floyd, period. I think he would probably do alot better now against a prime Margarito, Cotto, and Forrest than he wouldve done before his retirment and thats why I think he would fight all those guys now. Im the only one who has that view on Floyd. I think he just didnt feel he was big & strong enough at the weight before. I think he's still one of the smallest but big enough to compete on a fair levelComment

Forrest's style was kryptonite for Shane. Mosely not only controlled with his jab, he used a sneaky lead left hook to turn Mosely and control the distance of the fight. The surprising part of the fight is that Forrest was stronger in the clinches than Mosely. I don't think Mayweather's skill set translates the way Forrest's skill set did. But then again this isn't the same Shane Mosley that Forrest fought though.
Mayweather UD12 Mosley. Mosely might win 3 rounds.
Off subject, watch that video. Smoger is an awesome ref. The way he handled the 2nd round was masterful. Also, you will never see Mayweather go on the hunt like Forrest did in the 2nd. 2 completely different fighters, 2 completely different styles. Both equally great in their own ways.

i think so...at the end of the day...there are other fighters...and then there is floyd...his actions in the ring are like no one else fighting past or present...he literally tries to command every aspect of the fight...his ring generalship is entirely too high...even if you remained competitive...it's you versus floyd and your own mind...watch the marquez fight...watch the DLH fight and the hatton fight...the gatti fight...the baldo and the judah fight...all the way back to chico and chop chop...a lot of them simply quit...they lost before the rounds even ended...no one has the ability to make you feel helpless like floyd does...it's like mike tyson punch out where when you get hit...your heart goes down and any stars you had for a great punch get depleted...you're left tired and waiting for the end...Comment
