Talent wise he matches up well with Floyd and Floyd most likely won't brawl, which is Shane's downfall as he is too easily ****** into brawls, allowing his opponents to outbox him. He stands a great chance, even if Mayweather is the favorite, and rightly so.

Most of Shane's problems come against bigger guys who can outmuscle him, and Floyd certainly doesn't fit that mold.

of course he stands a chance, but he is also 38 yrs old. floyd is a far different animal than marg, and mayorga. if this fight happened 5 or even 3 yrs ago i would be alot more excited.

If Shane is able to consistently get on the inside and rough up *****, he has a good shot. But, I have a feeling Shane is gonna have difficulty getting his shots off. He's simply too old !

The Shane of the late 90's would've never been in a close fight against someone like Cotto. The current Shane had a difficult time getting his punches off against friggin' Mayorga. It's gonna be difficult for Shane to pull it off against *****. But, when you hit like a mule, anything can happen !

The good news is, ***** allows you to get on the inside and Shane really needs to put in solid work when that opportunity arises, unlike De La Fraudo, who was simply throwing meaningless punches and allowed ***** to spin out of the way.

Winky is a great counter puncher..but that would be one snoozer with their styles..I would still have Floyd winning that because Floyd has a better counter/defense..

Forrest is the one thats tricky..that could go either way, much like this Mosley fight.. and to answer your question..Mosley does stand a chance. a good one.
Thanks for being civil with ur opinion,But I believe that floyd barely beat the Oscar he fought, now just imagine if that was the welterweight prime version!!Winky is just too big for floyd!!

Just a couple of months ago posters were talking **** about Mosley being Floyd's toughest WW challenge yet he's the heavy underdog. So if that is the toughest challenge for Floyd, a former Super Featherweight, and even that "challenge" isn't favored against Floyd; will Floyd have to move up to 154 and fight technical MW's(fight night weight) in order to be challenged?

And let's not bring up Manny, please. Floyd was favored to beat Manny as well.

Seriously, who has floyd faced that has Mosley's stamina, power & determination!!I was gonna throw speed in there but Judah was probably faster than Shane!!Outboxed, easily is what seems to be the the majority vote!!Does that mean moving away constantly & potshotting??1 punch at a time type of evening??I am almost sure that would be dangerous for floyd!!floyd doesn't throw in combination like he used to,he is precise, but 1 punch at a time isn't gonna work against Mosley!!

Mosley has been outboxed, but look at by who,the bigger underrated Winky & Vernon Forrest!!They were both bigger than him,BIGGER!!He also lost in a close fight to Cotto!!Cotto at the time was undefeated, but people should realize that Cotto was a very good fighter & he also had to match Mosley with power shots!!I don't think floyd has the power necessary to simply move,rope-a-dope & throw 1 punch at a time just to connect & win easily that way!!floyd might still win,but I think Mosley has at least a 40% chance of winning!!Power, heart, speed & Brother ****m are the reasons I believe this!!No hate just discussion!!
Shane has good attributes but a few things to remember...

in most cases Shane power punches ain't straight... they are more looping punches... he has to shorten them...

Mayweather will constantly move which will tire Shane out (he is still good at his age but still he is 38 or 39)

If Shane wants to win... he really has to make it a dogfight (Hopkins like) in a boxing match he won't win... he won't land clean enough... he has to outhustle Mayweather... Mayweather hits hard enough that opponents respect it and especially punches that you don't see hurt the most...

My guess is that the first 4 rounds will be competive but then Shane will fatigue... Mayweather will win a UD IMO

1 Vernon, Winky, & Cotto all fought Shane toe to toe. Floyd won't do that

2 30 punches a round WILL NOT cut it against shane. Floyd will have to open up or he will lose rounds. If he get behind that will force him into Shanes world.

3 Shane won't fade like brass boy & nine lives. He won't jump in chin first like hatton. He won't be a punching bag like baldi.

4 Shanes body work & counter punching is very underrated.

                5 Speed, power, chin, stamina

You have a really really poor point. Mosley lost to Forrest and Winky damn near in his prime. SO ****ing what.

Floyd UD, come back the day after the fight.

This is why no, Mosley doesn't have a chance. He will lose a UD, he might win a few rounds until FMJ figures out his gameplan.

Dude, get real. Cotto is much bigger than Floyd.
