It's about time Mayweather grew some balls!

He got lucky Berto withdrew from his fight. Mosley is the best possible fight that he could make and I hope it gets made. It'll be interesting to see how this whole thing plays out. Pacquiao vs. Clottey and Mosley vs. Mayweather.
I just hope Mayweather shows up to fight for once and doesn't run.
I'm stoked.. this year is gonna be amazing!

thread title suggests mayweather was "afraid" or something.....but your post points out the fact that this is the best fight mayweather could make.

yea the fight happens....here's why.


1) haters have always accused floyd of "ducking" shane, at 38, even though floyd challenged shane at the time shane was still in his prime.


2) ppl faulted floyd for fighting marquez, instead of shane, even though they don't mention shane offered floyd 8 MILLION, while he got 15 MILLION to fight marquez....

3) then, floyd is faulted for not fighting shane, after shane called him out, during floyd's interview after the marquez fight.....but any fool could see, floyd was obviously waiting for the winner of pacquiao-cotto, b/c that would be bigger than floyd-shane.

4) fast-forward to today, pacquiao-mayweather has crumbled, mayweather has yet to name a replacement opponent, b/c there just weren't any big name opponents out there.


berto has pulled out, and that leaves this fight, as the biggest money fight for floyd, and shane wants it bad enough that he'll agree to anything floyd wants.....

add all that up, and i don't see anything that stops this fight from happening....what else is mayweather, or shane, gonna do?

yeah... the fight cant make more sense for any of them...

is just that hmmz.. awww man.. im afraid something is going to happen dont know... hopefully the fights gets done.

why ppl dont want the march 13 date? personally I think that would make lot of sense for floyd.

Mayweather has NEVER wanted to fight Mosley or any other welterweight infact. Like Mellow stated.. he probably did so because he has little to no options and this is the only major fight out there. You can clearly see that simply by looking at his record. So.. yes.. he was afraid and yes.. he finally grew some balls. nothing misleading.
