They want to capitalize on the Mexican crowd that is going to be in Vegas because May 1st is the weekend before Cinco De Mayo which lands on a weds. People will most likely buy the PPV because of it too.

Well I am sure there were some hush hush deals going on in this whole situation, so that HBO got Floyd to move off of March 13th is not that suprising.

Plus they need ample promoting time for this fight May is just about right, March 13th is to soon (IMO), also it lets Mosley take a bit of a break from real training (I am sure he will stay in shape though) then allows him to go back, for Mosley to fight on March 13th after training to get ready for the end of the month would be kind of odd, I am sure he could do it but why risk overtraining or messing it up in any way.

Floyd is close to 30 and Mosley is close to 40. You dont think thats a factor?

because Mayweather knows he can't compete with Pacquiao when it comes to PPVs..

....please explain how somehow mosley and mayweather are going to conjure up a huge mexican fanbase in vegas....seriously.

this fight has urban appeal written all over it.

I'd rather watch Pacquiao vs Mosley.
I would pay for the Pacquiao PPV more then likely.. despite being a fan of Mosley.
I know I would get mor **** for the buck.
& if Mayweather isn't scared of losing out on PPV sales then why not just take Pacquiao's date and force him to push his fight back.
