And no, it is not because Mosely is a PPV draw per say. It is because Mosely is a relevant opponent that the casual fan will view as a person who has a chance to win. The casual fan knows about SSM and knows he is a world class capable fighter with a REAL chance to defeat Floyd Mayweather Jr.
If Mayweather could do 1 million with a cintron, and make 15-20 million, then why would he give mosley 40%? Can mosley even make 5 million fighting someone else?(who is available)

Ok you start high. I know that. But in this situation you don't play games. It's a huge fight and Shane can make his biggest pay ever. Starting with 50/50 is not gonna fool Team Mayweather into giving in. They know how to negotiate also. They know how to play that game. Mayweather makes the offer to Shane and it's up to Shane to take it or leave it. Not the other way around.

Do you really think Mayweather can make 20 million fighting Cintron? Come on man, I know you are smarter than that.

You are missing the entire point of this. Las Vegas casinos will pay twice the site fee for Mayweather/Mosely than they would for Mayweather/Cintron. It would also do twuce the PPVs.

I feel that either 60/40 or 65/35 is fair, since yes, May is obviously the bigger draw. However, there's a big psychological difference between the numbers. First case, he gets 50% more - second, almost twice the amount.

I'm leaning towards it getting to 60-40 myself due to circumstances, or something silly like 62-38.

You guys are insane. There is no way this will be any kind of real negotations. Floyd will probably get 65/35 or 66.6/33.4

Someone said 55/45? No way that happpeneds and there also aint no way that 60/40 happeneds. People have to realize that Floyd & Pac are the men right now. They are truly on that Oscar level and not only that, they are clearly the top ranked guys in the game so they have 2 crazy things going for them. Shane cant get any more than 35 and he might get less. He has no choice and its not even like Floyd is pimping him. That is the true market value of this fight. I mean Shane was just about to fight on regular HBO. He's not getting 40 against Floyd, no way

It is clear that majority of boxing fans wants a fighter with a legit chance of beating Floyd and there are only 2 as of now and that's Manny or Mosley hence Mosley has the right to earn more cause if Floyd will not fight mosley he is forced to fight the other guy without any leverage in the negotiation.

Yeah right. Floyd dont care about that ****. Mosley needs that money more than anything. Floyd is the man. Floyd could still fight Martinez or whoever. He isnt giving up any money if he doesnt really have to

Not really, Mosley is the man to beat at 147lbs hence all roads leads to him if the two would not fight each other. Mosley has the opption of fighting Manny
