and he has more fights against lower division fighters than actual prime, top tier welterweights.
I can see why people say that.
Can you name me the last top tier fighter who was in a division for 5 years and has more fights against lower division fighters, than the guys in his own division?

Judah, Baldomir, De La Hoya were all established at that weight, with de la hoya being at 154
Hatton came up from 140, but keep in mind, he "wasnt ready" for years and didint care to fight him until mayweather moved up, so regardless, thats two.
then there is JMM.
so in reality, mayweather is 3/3. 3 fighters whom were from lower divisions. and 3 fighters who were established at that weight and were champions at their respective weltweight, or jr middleweight classes.
So technically you are wrong. You can say what you want about them not being good or whatever, but thats 3 champions, two welterweight and one jr middleweight. on paper, thats what it is, argue whatever ****ing variable you want (which you will). but those are the facts.
I take it you have this same frustration about jack dempsey and james braddock who held their divisions hostage for YEARS at a time without not just fighting the best, but not fighting PERIOD while contendors begged for title shots.
Historically speaking, and not that you know much about boxing history because i honestly havent seen anything that says you do, mayweather is just one of the countless fighters who tried to make the most money and minimize his risk. its nothing new in todays fight envoirment.

he went to welter late 2005/early 2006..and retired at the end of 2007..he just came back in September..so if you do the math..he fought Mitchell/Judah/Baldomir/DLH/Hatton all within a 2 year span...

and technically,
you supposedly have me on ignore.
Yea, technically, 3=3.
But technically, he shouldn't have even brought those guys up to welterweight to begin with as there was more than ample competition to face in that time frame.
Historically speaking,
when looking in the annals of boxing history,
nobody cares about who made what in terms of money.
Go cry about the business elsewhere.
You don't see me hyping up fighters based on their monetary value as I don't collect a cent from them.
Admiring another mans pockets is a female trait. Enjoy yourself.

You know, I know, we all know he "retired" in order to avoid having to fight Margarito or Cotto.

spin it how you want.
im not that concerned about money or buisness but its apart of the sport and it dictates what fights get made when and where, if i choose to completely ignore this that would be very ignorant.
Either way you are wrong and you have little to no reason to continue this pathetic crusade while a good fight is being made in the meantime.
Also, me bringing up mayweather maximizing payment while minimizing risk is what this sport is basically about at the top levels, its why i brought it up, i didint cry about buisness or anything else, if you cant understand that simple fact i think it explains why you are who you continue to be.
