            No one else thinking Robinson/Lamotta?

            This was one of the biggest fights in history at the time. It was one of the first fights to be seen all over the world, shortwaved all the way to New Zealand over 10,000 miles away. Keep in mind coaxial cable didn't even come out until 1948, allowing the East Coast to be linked the the Midwest and East Coast. Pan American flights carried the fight from the first bell on flights all across the globe.
