Berto Wasn't Ready For Mosley Anyways. This is a good Thing.

I may be wrong, but I don't think Berto was ready yet. His chin may be a little suspect, and his defense is sloppy at times. A lot of the time actually. Against Mosley, that could be lights out. This gives Berto Some more time to prepare for a fight of this magnitude.

This isn't good in the sense of why he had to drop out. I hope the best for him and his family.

    What are your thoughts?

I personally thought berto was going to win. I had about 20 million on points on him.

I think this is terrible for berto. Not only for his family, but I'd imagine his career takes a step to the side for a while.

Maybe in the long run that's a good thing, maybe he wasn't ready for mosley.

But if molsey-floyd happans, pac-clottey, winner fighting eachother, berto is basically left out. He missed his shot at stardom imo (at least for now).

I'm not even going to try to justify it.

Berto more than deserved his shot at Mosley.

Why he dropped the fight is his decision and I'll respect that.

Mosley deserves a replacement opponent to keep him fresh though.

I'd hate to do all that training only for the guy I'm fighting to drop out in the last 2 weeks.

At least give him a Tomato can to beat up.

No excuses, you guys were whining about Floyd not fighting any real threat, but as soon you heard he might fight Mosley, ya'll already used "Mosley is too old and rusty" as an excuse.

I thought he'd be fighting Mayweather after fighting Berto.

That fight would've been the measuring stick as to how Mosley would do against Mayweather.

No need for that, man. The fans wanted the fight to happen for long times, and there no time to waste. Most of Floyd haters including you, were complaining about him not fighting tough opponents, well the fight will happen, no tuneup fights needed. They're both rusty, no excuses.

If he wasn't ready now then when exactly should he be ready?? Berto is very good and he brings youth, speed, power and hunger for success and to prove himself. You can't underestimate someone like that. This is a fight that could've taken him to the next level. He deserved this fight. However I'd still pick Mosley because I think he's just the overall better boxer and he also brings a lot of experience to the ring.

                  That's not really hating.

                  It's the truth lol.

Anyway, Mosley should get a replacement for Jan. 30 and still be able to fight May 1st.

You're acting as if that's out of the question.
