People Only Buy Mayweather PPV's To See Him Lose

I see a lot of people speculating about the possibility of Mayweather-Mosley happening on March 13th and sabotaging the Manny Pac PPV in the process.

I however, don't think that a Mayweather-Mosley fight would do much better PPV numbers even considering Mosley is 100 times more popular than Clottey.

Boxing fans who have paid to watch Mayweather have been treated to a series of boring fights over the past 3 years. You could take all the excitement from Floyd's last 5 fights and combine it and end up with half the excitement of any of Pac's fights the past 3 years.

I personally have bought Mayweather PPV's knowing how boring they would be simply because I wanted to see him lose. I buy Manny Pacquiao PPV's because I know that every time I do I am gonna get my money's worth.

If Mayweather-Mosley and Pac-Clottey happen on the same night (which they probably won't) I will be buying Pac-Clottey because I want to see a fight for 60 dollars. If I wanted to pay 60 bucks for Mayweather I might as well pay 60 bucks to watch Gary Kasparov play Deep Blue on PPV.

I think that we have finally hit the breaking point where people who are casual boxing fans are sick of Mayweather and falling in love with Pac almost solely because their main desire is to see exciting boxing matches.

Of course Mayweather huggers will always be Mayweather huggers and *******s will agree with me regardless but I feel strongly that those fans like me, who have never been huge fans of either guy, are more likely to spend their money to see a great fight than spend their money to see a mediocre fight with a completely bogus GBP undercard.

Regardless of why they buy the PPV, they still buy it and that's what counts.

So many Floyd related threads, now i know why he's the biggest draw and most hated in boxing today.

People might watch his fights to see him lose, I'm not one of them, I enjoy the science of boxing. But if anyone has a chance of beating Floyd other then Pac it would be Mosley.

While that is true, it still counts as part of Mayweather's drawing power.

There is science, and excitement, in what Pacquiao does.

                  Mayweather is just science.

I agree for the most part, but I think that Mayweather/Mosley has a few advantages over Pac/Clottey:

                    1. Both of them are Americans, Pac/Clottey are not
                    2. Drama: Mosley crashing May's victory interview made for some compelling drama
                    3. Fact is, People DO pay to watch Floyd lose. I think Mosley presents a big challenge for Floyd and people wanna see him take on someone who actually has a chance of beating him.
