As I wrote earlier, I wouldn't hold a PPV on March 13 but I would do a showcase for Floyd and Mosley on that date.

I'm a pac-fan and yes its true that floyd-mosley is more exciting. But in the business points of view, they prefer to have 100% sold out tickets than to have just 85%.

Divided fans will not earn a lot of money.

Hope soon, winners on both sides will end up fighting at the end of the year.

Mayweather vs Mosley on April 17 seems perfect. They should just move the bhop/jones fight somewhere later in the year.

Right it doesn't matter what date Mayweather-Mosley is on it will outsell Pacquiao-Clottey

So Pac better be ready to accept 60/40

*******s that would have otherwise bought the Mayweather fight will buy the Pac fight simply because.
Its not about business it will be about Mosley and the training stage he is at , Shane needs to wind it down and then build to peak again , the Berto pull out is a real spanner for Shane conditioning wise for 13th March .

Pac-Clottey is in Dallas, May-Mosley double header will be in Vegas, two different states, two different audiences. The best move HBO and Golden Boy could do to keep people tuned in is showcase both Floyd and Shane on Free HBO. It would only make their eventual PPV event that much better.

So Floyd did a million with Marquez and Arum is the one who said he would use PPV numbers for the purse split for the next negotiations

Now we seen the numbers Pacquiao-Cotto did but remember Cotto beat Mosley and Shane hasn't been on PPV since so if Mayweather-Mosley sells more than Pacquiao-Cotto what does that say?

That would be a logical landing spot for a Mayweather-Mosley bout, if a deal can be made, though Schaefer was in the early stages of talks and couldn’t commit. He said he was going to meet with his staff to see when it would work best.

“I’m going to sit down with our marketing people, and our sponsors, as well, and determine what the right time frame would be to properly promote and activate that fight,” Schaefer said. “On the surface, with March 13 just around the corner, I don’t think that would be the right thing to do. If you’re going with a super mega fight like that to go against Pacquiao-Clottey. I think that would be totally wrong and I would not want to do that.”
Schaefer said “I have my work cut out for me in the next 24 hours” as he tries to finalize an agreement for a Mayweather-Mosley fight and then attempts to find a date.

He was sympathetic to Berto and said there would be an opportunity for him to fight Mosley either later in the year or sometime next year.
Set the fight for April 17th with Mosely-Mayweather being the main event, and Hopkins-Jones as one of the undercard fights. That would be a huge event, and a big PPV seller.
