If Mosley/Mayweather gets made, who cares about Pac/Clottey?

it SHOULD do that, i'm not convinced it will, mayweather mosley is what i've wanted to see for a long time. it's been a match up that has been discussed many times between me and my friends, so im hyped about it.

the only thing is, they really don't have that big of a draw/following, and i mean that in regards to what they've done before when it was them themselves who were the main attraction in their promotions for their fights.
their biggest crowds were when they faced the crossover star DLH.

i personally think this is the fight that needed to be made, this is the fight that can and most likely will make it clear who is the man at welterweight. the winner can then go after pacquiao for the P4P title......

in reality this should be the biggest fight out there, i just doubt it does what they want it to do number wise.

I'm going to be honest here. 2 names people can recognize vs 1 name and an unknown. I think Mayweather might of just found a holy grail here because there was no other opponent he could have gone for that would of helped him get ppv sales to beat pacquiao. Now with Mosley he has a MUCH better chance at beating Pacquiao's sales because people can recognize both names. Someone asked people walking down a sidewalk towards a fight what they thought about Pacquiao-Clottey and people said, what's a Clottey? I think that sums up Pacquiao-Clottey to most on the outside world of boxing.

Here's some real numbers to chew on:

Last time Pacquiao faced a relatively unknown opponent on PPV he did a dissapointing 160k with Diaz in 2008. Clottey has an even smaller fan base than Diaz..

Mayweather/Mosley is the biggest superfight that can be made in boxing other than May/Pac. If May can do 1 million going up directly against UFC 103 then Clottey will bea piece of cake! HBO will promote the Goldenboy superfight over that TopRank sham any day.
Well if you don't understand basic business sense you shouldn't comment.

A lot of *******s will buy a Pacquiao fight over a Mayweather fight anyday, but would still buy a Mayweather fight if there was no Pac fight.

By doing the fights on separate weekends, Mayweather would get more PPV's because people won't have to choose between 2 fights.

You're acting as if the average person was a *****.

The average joe will instinctively buy a Pac fight because Pac always gives you your moneys worth.

That's not the word on the street for Floyd fights.

if you are a businessman, you are not dumb to compete to the fight. If you want more $$$$$$$$$$$, do it on a different date.

This will take place if the fight is about pride and not the money

Unlike you, I've given Manny Pacquiao credits, the only reason i criticized him sometimes is because of his nuthugging fans.

Once again your talking out of your ass again.. I always said Mayweather a great fighter and I give him props when he was fighting @ 130. After that. Hell no..

You generalize like a mofo and only reason i criticized Floyd is cause of his ***** fans.
