            Sigh...

If Floyd wants a tune up, there are legit deserving welters that wouldn't pose too much a threat to Floyd he could dance around and sharpen his skills against. Why is a 19 year old prospect even in consideration?

To be fair, I won't believe it until they announce it, too many names have been mentioned.

all boxers/trainers pick boxers who they know they can beat not just floyd.
pacman/freddie picked boxers knowing they had a good chance at beating them. its no secret its, its not about the cherry picking its about the money.

I just had a third source tell me this fight is in talks. This particular source told me Mayweather-Alvarez could easily happen on 3/13 with Mayweather still making a May 1 date for Mosley. I find it hard to believe, and so does this source, that Mayweather will jump right to Mosley in May without an warm-up fight. Mayweather has had one fight since 2007 and that was sparring session. Mosley fought Margarito last year and now Berto, two of the best at the weight.

You know what would be interesting? If both Floyd and Manny lose their fights. Then they would be beating the hell out of themselves for letting a multimillion dollar bout go out the window. Even if one of them loses a bout between them would not generate the $ interest that would be generated if neither of them loses.
