What if Amir Khan gets exposed?

They are building him up big and trying to find him a big fight for the U.S. debut but what if he gets exposed, badly, in his debut? What will be next for him? I think they are putting too much pressure on the kid, he beat Salita but Salita wasn't that big of a name to make Khan look like they're making him look now. I really like Khan but I think they need to slow down a little bit.

Khan has had plenty of build up experience fighting poor opposition.beating more Salitas is not going to bring him on.He is not going to learn more fighting those kinds of fighters. He has to fight better fighters to progress. Will he really get much better with more fights and experience? Khan is a World Champion when you have that title you should not be talking about being brought along slowly, taking real fights is meant to go with holding the title. It looks like he will duck Maidana so I don't see him being in quite the hurry you say he is in.

      wasn't he already exposed?

If I were to try to build him in the US, I'd stay away from Bradley right now. I would have him fight a couple "safe" but tough opponents on HBO or whatever, then maybe down the road fight bradley but doing it now is way too much of a gamble.

As a fan of boxing, of course I'd love to see the fight now

Khan is trying to just walk in and expect to be a superstar. He should have taken the Maidana fight, then if he beat Maidana it would have been a huge slap in the face to everyone saying he can't handle a puncher, and it would have given him the credibility to go after a bigger fight.

He's already been exposed he has a glass chin !!! But thanks to freddy roach he will be able to avoid fighters that might present a problem and he will be able to cherry pick his opponents and weight drain them by asking for "catch weights" this guy is a bum the way freddi sees it ortiz who has about the same skill as Khan but with a better chin couldn't beat madaina no way is he going to let him get whooped so let's pick on a past prime veteran who will make you look good but this can only last for so long this guy is nothing but hype!!!!!!

the way golden boy operates look for his next opponent to be a soft punching lightweight with name value. this will keep being exposed to a minimum while they rake in the cash.

the reason i think he has gone to golden boy is because he wants to step up obvoisly he aint going to fight bradley straight away, but take at least 2-3 fights of decent top 10 LW's before.

You ppl love to slag off khan but dont say anything about Bradley who fought a past it Campbell and past it Witter, If u look at his record like that his card aint that amazing, especailly as he's three years older than Khan. Minus 3 years where was Bradley? Who had he fought?

well yea if you want to play that game. kotelnik was past it. barrera was past it. the only prime opponent khan fought was prescott and look what happened! fun times.

strange how a guy who just beat juan diaz and ali funeka is past it. he only had to move up cause he couldn't make 135 anymore. witter was past it even though he hadn't been beaten in 8 years and was coming off his best performance ever against harris. maybe you are just a revisionist hater?

Khan isn't ready for Bradley yet but Bradley is beatable. Khan should go back the UK if he gets exposed and fight some domestic fights then try the big stage again. Win the Lonsdale belt, I don't like it when fighters miss out the domestic title and jump straight to world.
