Props for Khan to manning up like a true fighter.

I have never met Khan, but to me he comes across as a fairly amiable guy on television and he is obviously well liked over here in the UK; you only have to see how much fan-mail he receives in the UK to realise that.

However, I don't think he is quite as well loved as the more popular British boxers such as Frank Bruno and Naseem Hamed, because some people rightly or wrongly view his attitude towards himself as superior and hubris.

When he beat some semi-pro guy a couple of years ago and then declared himself the greatest fighter on the planet, many of my friends suddenly turned against the sport of boxing.
