Video: Classic HBO Commercial, Pacquiao vs Marquez 1

Just thought I'd post this to bring back memories or something lol. I've had it on my youtube account for awhile.

I love how it says, "Who beat the incredible Marco Antonio Barrera". Man, that was from 03!

Yeah seriously. Anyone who thought that back then would have laughed in your face. And if you said he would fight him and stop him, they would probably say, I'll bet you my house right now that doesn't happen. Man, how times have changed since then.

Also that's the same idea when he was only 122lbs fighting Ledwaba on the undercard of Dela hoya vs Castillejo. His first fight on US soil. Nobody in a million years that night would of imagined that skinny 122lber would be the main event fighting Oscar in the future and stopping him. Just goes to show you can't predict boxing.

I loved HBO's fight commercials and PPV commercials for their fights back in the day. They were so much more dramatic and you felt like each fight was the fight of the century. I wish they could go back to their roots a bit more.

Also, what was crazy about this specific commercial is how accurate it was. They talk about Marquez's heart and Pacquiao a raging bull with speed and tenacity. Everything they mentioned was perfectly on display in that fight. It's as if they both stuck to a script laid out by HBO before hand.

I remember that commercial, I was just thinking about it the other day. Marquez/Pacquiao is definitely up there to one of the best fights I've seen live, the crowd was pretty intense.
