Mayweather and Pacquiao fighting on the same date...

Do you think that has anything to do with testing their PPV Buys or drawing power? To see who does more PPV Buys if they fought on the same date against a fighter who cant draw that much.

Note: Pacquiao will be fighting Clottey on March 13th, and Mayweather has possible opponents for March 13th in Cintron and Bradley.

Nate Campbell appears to be a more possible opponent than Bradley.

arum should take advantage and start promoting, seeing how floyd hasnt officially named his opponent.

        Interesting man

I don't see this as who does more PPV buys. Maybe how much both do together. Sort of measuring what Mayweather vs. Pacquiao would do.

there was talk on ESPN last night that Mayweather was planning to cancel the date and may wait on the winner of Mosley/Berto.

The haters were bitching about why doesn't he fight a real welterweight, so I guess he will fight Kermit Cintron who only has losses to a guy who possibly used plaster in his fights.

i see it as who does more buys, then add them together and add an extra 250-500k and that will be what pac/may would do. now thats just my opinion.

                I bet 100K Mayweather doesn't fight March 13.

i bet if floyd waits and if mosley wins by easy decision or ko, floyd wont fight mosley.

if berto wins or mosley struggles to win, then floyd will fight mosley.

if floyd fights mosley then he will do more ppv buys then pac/clottey so floyd could ask for more of a purse if floyd vs. pac was ever going to happen

The thing is this wont measure what Mayweather vs Pacquiao would do, because Mayweather vs Pacquiao would do a lot more than what these guys will generate in their next PPV both put together. People dont want to see Pacquiao vs Clottey (Who just lost to the guy Pacquiao dominated) or Mayweather vs Cintron, an ESPN poll showed that majority of the people wouldn't watch Pacquiao vs Clottey. People just want to see a big fight, its about who the fighters are matched-up with that makes most people interested in buying the PPV.

I think it will only measure how well can Pacquiao do in PPV against a non-ppv fighter, we know what Mayweather did against Baldomir (BEFORE Floyd fought Oscar) and we know what Pacquiao did against David Diaz )(BEFORE Manny fought Oscar) so it will be interesting to see what Manny and Floyd can do on their own now against non PPV fighters (Post-Oscar).
