I am not a fan of Floyd or Mosley, Williams gained my respect in the Martinez fight its really what he needs to keep doing fight young top opponents @ MW or LMW and Bradley I like so far since he fights pretty often vs decent opponents that being said both Floyd and Mosley have/had more skills.

You just summed up why Floyd is making money and the other aren't.

Controversy, loudness sells and Floyd know this better than his detractors. Floyd spent 80% of his career like the Mosley's, berto's etc.... He got plenty of praise for his skills and talent, but that wasn't transposing into money. And boxing is a business!!!!!!!

The last 20% of Floyd's career he's been loud, brash, arrogant etc..... and what has that done for him ...... it made him ****** Rich. And now you guys on forums can't go a single day without starting another thread about him.

I wish Shane, Paul Will, Tim Brad, and other Black American fighters would take a page from B-Hop and Floyd, being a role model and the "good black" doesn't do ****. That is so damn ******. Oscar Delahoya, Ricky Hatton, and JMM had their biggest paydays and PPV's against Mayweather. You thing they did that by themselves? And Mayweather has always had respectable PPV numbers. GTFO with that bull****.

hatton-floyd = 1 million buys

Pac-dlh = 1.25 million buys

hatton- pac = 800k buys.

With Hatton especially the numbers difference is virtually indistinguishable.

Both Pac and floyd enjoyed the honor and luxury of being the holy grail against Hatton but you cant sit here and tell me that either were the a-side promotionwise against Hatton.

Also if Mayweather is such a draw then it must be an anomaly as to why as the #1 p4p fighter in the world his fights against judah and baldomir were outsold in ppv buys by the pacquiao-morales fights.

Don't take offense .... its not directed to you personally - when I mentioned Owned.

My point - That you seem to have missed, is that while Floyd was the nice guy, no one other than hardcore fans, boxing writer's and commentators talked about him.

Now that Floyd is being the brash, arrogant one - even people who aren't hardcore fans are constantly talking about him. Look at the threads calling him a coward, a criminal, a chicken etc.... By people who don't have a clue.

All these johnny-come-lately's don't even have a clue that Floyd is playing them like a piano on a daily basis. They are getting OWNED!!!!

premise of thread was that mayweather enjoys the biggest fanbase of any african american fighter because he's an *******. i commented that mayweather doesnt have his own fanbase and piggybacks off other fighters' fanbases. the ******* thing only keeps in the spotlight but doesnt bring him any fans.

calliloyd counters by bringing up floyd's ppv numbers against hatton and delahoya. but when you look closer they're virtually indistinguishable against pacquiao.

If mayweather had such a big fanbase why did his fights against judah and baldomir which he was the clear a-side and had to carry on his back, and enjoyed the same #1p4p status outsold in ppv buys by the pacquiao-morales fights 3 divisions lower.
