Comments Thread For: Joe Murray: The Sky is Limited For Forgotten Olympian

Joe Murray, who boxed at the Olympics for the UK and won bronze at the World Amateur Boxing Championships, moved to 6-0 (3) last night with a fourth round knockout of the previously undefeated Georgian George Mchedlishvili at the Leisure Centre, Altrincham. Murray took care of business at 1:16 of the round, then fulfilled his media duties before returning home, settling down and watching the Sky TV broadcast of the Rob Norton versus David Dolan bill. ''Sky filmed degale running in the woods so why not Joe Murray''.

Let me educate these fools. DeGale is an olympic Gold medalist. That makes him well known not just by boxing fans, by anyone. Joe Murray was wooped in the 1st round of the olympics. Yes, eh won bronze at world champs but who cares?

If you want coverage, work for it. Dont cry and ***** about it.

Also, why would who is brother is mean he should be coverd on TV?

I was fortunate enough to watch Joe Murray in two rounds of the world amateur championships in Chicago in 2007.

      He fought his ass off.

I for one am interested in his pro career.

He could be a good and entertaining one.

        the quiet man

joe murray may have to wait till he boxes for the british or even european title before he gets a mention. while i can understand joes frustration, may i suggest he takes a leaf from brother johns script and get satisfaction inside the ring.

john murray took scott lawton apart when he lost his belt on the scales joe, so follow his example and you wont go far wrong.

dont forget im carrying your your belt in when we show sky sport what they missed out on.

        JUST DO IT JOE
