Outside of Berto-Mosley, HBO's schedule for 2009 looks really weak.

We are getting into an era to where it seems boxing is on HBO once a month or every other month.Comment

None of these fights interest me.
Miguel Cotto vs. Yuri Foreman. So after losing to a smaller guy Cotto is gonna get a shot at a title at a higher weight? Good ole Paco at his best.
Gamboa vs. Mtwaga. Doesn't get my blood pumping.
Roy Jones vs. Bernard Hopkins II. No explanation needed.
Amir Khan will get matched up softly. Count on it.
Victor Ortiz will get recycled again probably as will Rocky Juarez.
Alexander vs. Urango is an okay fight. But I think Maidana is better than Urango. Once again. Who cares?
Juan Ma vs. Luevano. Arum protecting Juan Ma's chin after he got his bell rung against Mtwaga at the end of that fight.
Who's Floyd gonna fight?
Pacquiao vs. Clottey. Can't complain too much but it belongs on regular HBO and I think Bradley would be a tougher challenge for Manny because of his willingness to let his hands go.
All in all, I'll bet these writers like Thomas Hauser will express his disdain about HBO's schedule and we probably should too.Comment

Forgot to mention you will probably get Hatton V Marquez and Pavlik V Williams and maybe Pavlik V Martinez by years end. Haye V Hop, Guerrero will fight on the network, you just gotta give it time because HBO will step it up. I still say SHO is where it's at. Can't wait for Valero/Demarco, Vazquez/Marquez, Super 6, and Tim Bradley.Comment
