There's obsolutly no way Toney could handle a Prime Tyson.

As it is I think this is a solid 50/50 fight.
1988 Tyson would probably knock 2005 Toney out if anybody ever could, But 2005 Tyson vs 2005 Toney, Toney wins in dismantling fashion.

Toney just stands there and slips punches by moving his upper body, Tyson would kill that fat belly with some hard body shots. Maybe even Koing Toney on one of those. Tyson KO 3 or 4

I said, "Toney by decision" because I didn't see a choice for disqualification.

Tend to concur with this. Tyson is a very shot fighter and seems unable to be an effective fighter past the first two rounds. Toney would ***** him and maybe stop him when Tyson realizes its a 12 round beating. Tyson taking the cowards way out and being DQ`ed is possible too as we all know he has very little heart in the ring!

If Tyson doesn't KO Toney within 2 rounds, Toney would KO Tyson after 6. I think Tyson probably has enough speed, power and accuracy left to put leather flush on Toney....the only question is whether Toney can survive Tyson's best shots. I personally don't think he's big enough to handle it, but I don't think we'll ever know. I doubt this match would ever happen.

Not fair, sitting there and reading my mind while I'm writing a post, and then posting it before I do

My opinion is also that injuries happen when a fighter misses a big punch. That's why Bryd beat Vitali and I think there is a good chance that Tyson would hurt his knee again if he tried to throw huge shots at Toney and missed.

I did think it was a great point though about the bodyshots. that would definitly be the best plan for Tyson going into the fight. Toney can move his head well but Tyson's shots to the body would land.

Toney by stoppage in the latter rounds.

I would hope Tyson takes care of business and knocks out Toney but my gut tells me that Toney would be the ultimate victor of this fight but thats not my point. My point here is: that this bout has a good chance of happenening this year, maybe late Fall. This bout is a promoters dream right now and could happen for the following reasons:

Both are big name fighters. There will always be a huge ppv market for Tyson because its Mike Tyson. For Toney, he's only the third middleweight champion to move up in weight class and win the heavyweight title(or piece of it) and Toney is a popular fighter to begin with because he's charismatic.

Both fighters want to make a big payday. For Tyson, its his debts. For Toney, he said something to the effect that he wants to clean up the division and make some money. For the Ruiz fight, he didn't make much because it was John Ruiz and they didn't even sell out of tickets for the garden.
