    JL Castillo ready for Corrales...

In 59 pro fights JLC has never hit the canvas and does not believe Corrales is the man that can floor him.
“I’m ready for a tough fight,” stated Castillo, who is four pounds over the Lightweight limit.
To many,Corrales is a slight favorite and he believes that he's going to KO Castillo in three rounds.
I respect “Chicos” punching power, but I’m confident that he will not resist my punches, stated Castillo as he's heading to Las Vegas for the this weekend's fight.

    hmm

Damn, 4 lbs over the limit? Dehydrating himself already I see. Maybe he's just saying that.

In any case, of course he is ready...I wouldn't expect anything else.

I hope this is a great fight, no matter who wins. I admired Corrales's performance in his fight with Freitas, so I am kind've rooting for him. Castillo better be ready and so should Corrales. These guys are going to test each other's limits.

          Castillo, Corrales predict KOs!

          Thursday, May 5 2005

In a highly anticipated match-up, the two best 135-pound boxers in the world will square off when two-time WBC champion Jose Luis Castillo (52-6-1, 45 KOs) takes on WBO champion Diego "Chico" Corrales (39-2, 33 KOs) in a world lightweight title unification bout on Saturday at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. Both fighters spoke to reporters at yesterday's media workout, and both promised a knockout. "This fight is not going the distance," proclaimed Castillo. Corrales argreed, saying "I really do not see how it can go the distance with each of us dropping bombs on each other in the middle of the ring. I love these kinds of fights."

does anyone really think this is going to eb a war. At first I thought castillo was going to school corrales but if they are going to be dropping bombs chico has the advantage.

if corrales drops castillo early and I know people have been bitchin about the situation corrales was in before the fight with themayweather and the impending jail sentence but would people want to see a rematch?
