It's called nurturing a fighter... Then when they've reached their peak the promoters make the top fights for a good payday.

What GBP does is insure that their fighters never get big paydays by ending their careers early.

Khan has already been nurtured.

boxing lately is not about the fighters. I just wonder why we focused more on the promoter than the boxer itself.

They can go to any promoter they wanted to have as long as they can give us the good/best fight.

If you ask me this is good news for Khan. He will start to make some nice money actually test himself against some decent opponents. He's been nurtured enough that he shouldn't be protected anymore.

He needs to keep learning on how to better protect that chin, but thats Freddy Roach's job and not his promoters.
