he claimed last night that Mayweather worked him into the ground causing him to leave the fight in the gym.

By all account he peaked NINE weeks before the fight and Lee Baird was pleading with Mayweather to step off the gas a bit.

That would be excuse #1,234 as to why he lost that fight.

Why not challenge Pacquiao again, then? This time with a different trainer?

roach will make hatton back in the limelight again.

he got to fight. if he want to please his fans who longed to see him winning fights again, he should employ a good trainer. a trainer who honestly evaluate and correct his bad training habit not a trainer who looks only for his pay bragging to all the world that his fighter is in top shape but cant even last 2 rounds.

marquez would be a good comeback fight for him. marquez is a great counter-puncher but hatton's strenght may be too much for the mexican

He's not hungry for a 140 belt anymore, so he's not gonna take a fight against someone like Bradley or Alexander, which won't be massive paydays but hard fights. Khan would be a huge payday in the UK but I'm not sure he could handle losing that fight and using this "I'm his friend" excuse saves him from the fight.

JMM is gonna be his number one target, he's a big name and it's a winnable fight for Ricky. I don't want to see it though.

Although I really want to see Ricky face a 140 champion, but not Urango.
urango has the belt he wanna fight urango !
            wtf dnt ppl get ?

            ..
            anyway
im glad hes fighting again and also very nervous
i dnt wanna have 2 explain 2 every1 why he was ktfo again !

              rickys trainer

why is it that ricky hatton dumped lifelong trainer billy graham? did he make him peak too early? did he ever put him in the ring with an opponent he thought you couldnt beat? did he ever put him in the ring purely for the money?
ricky is recorded as saying graham retired through ill health, and it was only because graham woudnt take a dive that the truth came out.HE WAS SACKED.
so why start moaning now about unacceptable training methods when he brought it all on himself. dont try and fix something that isnt broke ricky.if i knew then what i know now comes to mind !!!

good friends are hard to come by, if you have one your lucky, to have more you are dead lucky. billy graham was his friend and that is the missing element in rickys set up.

hattons defining fight was kotya tszu, and every fight since then was stage managed to perfection, so it begs the question WHY WAS GRAHAM SACKED?, and while hattons looking for a new trainer may i ask who the f***k is lee beard?

I can't answer that, I'm only reporting what he stated.

However, his dad was quoted straight after the fight that the camp was in turmoil.

Lee Beard has been his dietitian for years now, since before the Kostya fight.

But you're right, I'd like to know the full story behind Graham's departure. Him and Ricky seemed to be more than just trainer/boxer. They had a rapport.

thought it was down to the fact that Graham could no longer cope with the training as he was carrying injuries.

Truth. Fired his longtime trainer and friend due to HIS shortcomings in the Mayweather and Lazcano fights and hired some superstar trainer that didn't give a **** about him. He got what he wanted and deserved.

I wish he would call Billy up to train him for this last fight, though.
