I’m tired of hearing all this talk about how Mayweather ducked everyone at ww, so lets get serious;
DLH was jmw champion and Hatton was undefeated and thought to have the best chance to beat PBF (although hindsight is always 20/20 and people will say he was a bum) leaving them aside.
Mayweather was fighting at ww from Nov '05 with his debut against Sharmba Mitchell, then fought Judah in April '06 for the IBF and IBO titles, in Nov '06 he fought Baldomir for the WBO and Ring titles.
Therefore, in the span of 1 year he was supposed to fight;
Cotto (who was still a jww)
Mosley (who was in the middle of the Vargas fights a jmw)
Williams (who was still a prospect)
The only fighter at the time that people can make an argument that he ducked was Margarito, but then again he made the same amount of money against the then WBO and Ring champion Baldomir (who people at the time were swearing up and down that Floyd was ducking)
He fought the best at ww when he was there, just because the best weren't that great, isn't Floyd's fault, but people will always talk **** and it seems they've been watching boxing since '07.
