Art Door will be presenting his 2nd yearly event of amatuer boxing today and Wednesday night beginning at 8pm, at The Machine Shop at 3539 S. Dort Highway in Flint.
Last years show was full of action and brutality, although all of the fighters were beginners to put it mildly. While most did not posses much actual skill, all seemed to have a fight in their hearts as they layed it on the line with wild hooks and haymakers, ofcourse there was an occasional straight right.
If your looking to view the finer points of the game this will not be the show for you. However, if your looking to see 2 regular people lace up the gloves and have a back alley brawl, this is for you. If you have ever thought that you could do that, as in boxing, you will have your chances as they regularly ask for participants from the crowd to join the activities.
I will be out there refereeing the scraps, so if you have a chance and are in the area come down and check it out. The bouts will get your blood pumping as these unknown soldiers step up to try their hands at the manly art. Last year was a really fun show and I expect the same from this years presentation..........Rockin'
