    Bad timing for Berto

WBC Welterweight World Champion Andre Berto, preparing for his January 30 unification showdown with WBA champ Shane Mosley, is devastated by the catastrophic earthquake that hit the island nation of Haiti on Tuesday. He had the following comments about the tragedy and rescue efforts he will be developing to assist the people in the island nation:

“I’m devastated by everything currently happening in Haiti. As everybody knows, I have a lot of family members in Haiti and proudly represented Haiti in the 2004 Olympic Games. Like many other Haitian-Americans, my family and I are working to reach my loved ones. From what we have learned to this point, some of my family members are still missing and we have already been informed that members of my family have passed away in the earthquake. We are currently working on starting our own Haitian relief efforts, and I will be releasing additional information on how everyone can help very soon. I am asking everyone for their continued thoughts and prayers for the people in Haiti during this devastating time.”

Hopefully he will be abel to fight Mosley without this messing his mind set up,what do you guys think.

Hopefully he will let it inspire him to go out and put on the performance of a lifetime.
Just like Dalembert for the sixers. Went on the court, gets no respect here in philly, and went off for 12 points and 21 boards and a block.

I think it will help him be motivated.

Hopefully he gives a good fight, unlike his usual boring hugging ****fests.

That said, I also hope Mosley knocks his sorry prima donna overrated HBO ass out too.

He has to soldier and show what kind of champion he is even in the face of adversity.

It'll either inspire him, much like Buster Douglas' mom motivated him during the tyson fight, or it'll mess up his mindset, and he'll try too hard and blow it, or he won't be in zone.
