Absolutely, you don't have to be a fan, but give Mayweather credit when it is due. He is a brilliant boxer, and he was a great lightweight.

Yes. Nowhere near Pacquiao though. I'd still put him in top 50 and Pac in top 20.

Yea of course he is. ATG to me doesn't mean like top 5 or some ****. But hes one of the best of this era of the past 20 years or so. So of course he is.
ATG is a broad term. But of course he is in the talks with teh best all time.

It's only possible to estimate roughly, because very few of us have actually sat down and made out a complete all time great list. I'd say about 50 for Floyd and 30 for Pacman off the bat. But if I was to go and research a detailed all-time great list, I'd probably find a whole load of old-time fighters I didn't know that much about that accomplished great things. It's all about how you compare modern accomplishments and past accomplishments.

They're both all time greats in the sense they should be in everyones top 100 in my opinion.

floyd is a very talented boxer, if being great will only be based on talents he will definitely be one of the top greats, but its not the case. its how you applied those talents and subject them to the great tests/challenges its only then that being talented can be considered great when you surpassed them or just even went thru them. he does looked good in his recent fights but to say he was in great competition is overstatement. unless he showed up in the ring with one of the elite in his division he will remain just one of the talented or the most talented but not great.

harlem globetrotters is way way different from lakers, bulls(m. jordan) celtics, etc. it will always be exhibition game with them not competition.
