In Canada do you pay the same price as in the us for the Pay-per-view broadcasts and do you get it from HBO, Kingvision or a Canadian cable company.

Pay-per-view prices are determined by Viewer's Choice, the Canadian PPV company. Here is their website:

It seems to me that they get first crack at any major bout coming from the U.S., so often a fight that is on regular HBO in the States we have to pay for here . That happened with the Hopkins - Eastman fight, for example.

The HBO fights that VC takes a pass at often end up on TSN, which is great because most people with cable in Canada have this station. The Toney - Ruiz fight was on there, for example. Unfortunately TSN has a hard time getting Showtime fights. I emailed them about this once and they explained the situation to me. Showtime is really restrictive about distributing its fights, and even highlights are hard to get.

Sometimes we can get a Showtime fight if it's also on Kingvision. TSN showed Judah - Spinks 2 this way. PPV also shows Showtime fights if they want to.

As for PPV prices, they can vary, as far as I know, but are usually close to what is being charged in the States, taking the currency conversion into account.
