I don't think he was rushed, he got caught up in the moment and wanted to win a toe to toe brawl that wasn't in his best interest. If he boxes next time against Maidana I think he wins a much easier fight, he didn't look that great against Diaz though.

To me the Diaz fight didn't prove anything and the word is still out on Ortiz. I saw it as an old Diaz on his way out trying to help his buddy Ortiz get back on his feet.

I agree it didn't prove Ortiz has fully recovered, he looked a bit reluctant at times and he got tagged with some shots he shouldn't have taken. I think they're giving him another soft fight next so we won't really know if he's back until he fights another top fighter.

Ortiz looked nervous, like he didn't have his confidence back. Not sure if it was because he's friends with Diaz and really didn't want to fight him or what.

He's fighting on fox net not versus.If he wins expect him on the
marquez undercard.I dont think he will fight madiana the way he
looked fighting diaz.Ortiz needs to consider a new tranier.

Against diaz ortiz was fighting defensively and jabbing more against a pressure fighter but he still proved to be dangerous when exchanging...ppl criticized khan when he lost in the first round with prescott and when he faught a veteran barrera and won due to a headbut and now everyone is on the khan banwaggon...ortiz has a better situation than khan...khans loss was more emberasing imo and his win over barrera is not as good as ortiz' win over diaz...so ortiz can still come back
