With that said Sergio Martinez is the best option, he would give Floyd, Pacman, Mosley, and Berto all they could handle. Hell i would take Collazo over /cintron.
If this is your stance, you need to be consistent and criticize Pacquaio for picking a handpicked fighter (Clottey) instead of a "real challenger". Clottey and Cintron are in the same league.

I dont think Cintron has a solid way to victory.
I dont think Clottey has either.

      And frankly. Really not Martinez.

I think Cintron is as worthy an opponent for Floyd as Clottey is for Pacquiao. The difference is really negligable.

He didnt duck Pacquiao. Pacquiaos team managed to kill that fight. Floyd was even in the media laying it out on the table. 14-days cutoff, a compromise 90% of boxingscene.com felt was fair.

Mosley? The guy that said no to a fight with Floyd based on toothache and family vacation? Alright.
I still think Mayweather will fight Mosley this year.

Williams is managed by Al Haymon. If Al Haymon goes out and say he wants them to fight, i will agree Floyd would duck him if he didnt fight him.

Former welterweight champion Kermit Cintron was favored by promoter Oscar de la Hoya to face the undefeated Floyd Mayweather Jr. on March 13 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

De La Hoya believes that Cintron is an excellent matchup for the 'Pretty Boy' who also analyzes the boxers Nate Campbell and Paul Malignaggi as possible rivals.

Cintron's name surfaced last Monday as part of some expressions made by the CEO of Golden Boy Promotions Richard Schaefer about the controversy over the selection of the March 13 date for the conclusion of fighting in Mayweather Jr. in Las Vegas, and Filipino Manny Pacquiao vs. Joshua Clottey in Dallas, Texas.

"Kermit Cintron is a great choice, but the group is that Mayweather Jr. will have to decide. But the possibility is very great, "De La Hoya.

"Mayweather Jr. wants to fight one of the best welterweight and Cintron is considered one of those. It is a natural welterweight and now he learned to box more looks like a tough opponent for Mayweather Jr. If Cintron decides to take a distance would be a good partner fight, "he said.

Cintron last fought on 24 October at the Coliseo Roberto Clemente achieving a technical decision win in the fifth assault on Juliano Ramos. His only two defeats were against Antonio Margarito. The first in 2005 and then in 2008.

The Puerto Rican based in Houston, has brand 32-2-1 and 28 knockouts.
"Kermie" is a good match up for Floyd. He's got the size and he brings some power. I don't know if he can make 147 anymore though.

I will have to look at a couple more Cintron fights but i have Clottey being better than him and Martinez better than both of them. The question is if they fight on the same day who will you watch. I didn't like how Pacman refused the blood testing but i would say that Pacman/Clottey is the more exciting fight unless Floyd picks a real dance partner.

Cintron is slightly worse than Clottey as a welterweight i would say. But its not by much.

Cintron is as good a ww Floyd can get at this point with Mosley/Berto occupied.
                Cotto is not an option.

Remember. Cintron only really lost vs the cheater Margarito. And he fought to a draw with Martinez at jr Middleweight.

                Hes underrated actually.

I think this is a good fight for Floyd. I think Cintron is just as much a threat to Floyd as Clottey is to Pacquiao. If they both win it will be two solid ww wins.

True but it's even in my book with Pac/Clottey. I would have perfered him either fight williams or wait for the Berto/Mosley winner, those PPV would have blown Pac/Clottey out of the water.
