.....That is interesting. It's probably gonna be a non threat type of guy I would suspect.

If he's fighting that night, maybe it's a Showtime fight? I thought that date was reserved for Rahman vs. Barrett.

Or maybe he's on the undercard of Rahman vs. Barrett. That would be embarassing - defending his belt under two guys fighting for Vitali's interim belt...

Unlikely, I tried to do an interview with Byrd for ESB, and he said awhile ago he couldn't do one, because of some rules he had with promoters and he wasn't allowed to give out any information concerning who he would be fighting. The way he put it, I'm guessing, that he would not be fighting Wlad.

I went to the page that has the whole card, and Byrd is listed as an undercard attraction.

This must be a King PPV instead of just an HBO show or else Byrdie's fight wouldn't be televised with Mayorga fighting Castillejo.

It also lists Luis Collazo vs. TBA for the WBA Welterweight Title, so maybe it's a 4-fight PPV like the 5-fight show that King had with Hopkins/Joppy, Judah/Rangel, Simms/Garcia, Ruiz/Rahman, and Spinks/Mayorga...

Byrd has a knack for winning fights in strange ways. He definitely got a gift draw against Golota IMO despite the biased Kingvisoin commentary led by Barry ******* Tomkins and the duschebag he hangs out with. Jake Morrotta
