Hopkins quickly losing his legacy with joke fights at the end of career.

Can anyone honestly say this fight should be happening?

You can't lose your legacy by taking easy fights. Hopkins could fight Juan Manuel Marquez, Kermit Cintron, and Ivan Calderon to end his career and it doesn't erase who he has already beaten.

Yes the RJ fight is absolutely insane, but it doesn't change anything about what Hopkins has already done.

"At the end of his career"

So what? I'd much prefer he face Chad Dawson but I ain't that mad. B-Hop has done alot for the sport.

Hopkins' legacy is already made. This fight shouldn't have anymore effect than Holyfield's fight with Botha or Duran's last few years in the ring.

Hopkins is old as hell, and he doesn't have anything left to prove. Very few guys his age could match him.

lol, so a 45 year old man will hurt his legacy by fighting a couple so called easier fights? I don't think so son.

Did ali hurt is legacy by LOSING at the end of his career? NOPE

I don't have a problem with old man Hopkins fighting old man Jones. Both men have already proven themselves and besides they have personal beef. Let them fight. Lastly, I don't even consider the Danny Green fight when I think about RJJ.

Too much bull**** went down in that fight for me to take it seriously. From the illegal gloves Green wore to the rabbit punch that floored Roy.

F*** Danny Green! This is a fight I've been waiting for since 1994.

In addition his career isn't even over yet. As of now it sounds like he's doing exactly what he said he was going to do - after his tune up avenge his loss against roy jones then move up to heavyweight.

What would you say then, if he goes up to heavyweight and wins or at least loses in competitive fashion to a decent HW opponent? would that hurt his legacy?
