Age 19 Kelly Pavlik fought Grady Brewer in his 9th pro fight.

Kelly stopped him in round 2.

Age 26 Erislandy Lara will fight Brewer in his 10th pro fight.

    How will he do?

To be fair, this fight will be at 154 and Brewer has kind of saved his career.

That's not really fair man. That was a long time ago and Brewer did show at least something by beating stevie forbes and winning the contender show. I'm not saying he's a world class fighter but he's a decent opponent and for a guy that has 9 pro fights it's a pretty decent challenge.

that was 9 years ago when brewer was highly inexperienced and was nothing compared to the fighter he is now. this likely will go rounds due to brew's experience but i think lara may stop him late.

Great. Been keeping an eye on Lara and I like what I've seen. Looking forward to watching him fight again. This is a good fight for him right now.

Grady Brewer turns 40 this year. Do you really think he's better than he was at age 31 when he fought Kelly?

Still to me this shows Lara is serious. It is not the kind of fight that gets him a title shot but rather the kind of fight he can learn from and improve off of.

Lara should be able to beat Brewer but it's a step up for him.

Lara is one of my favorite prospects.

Hope he looks impressive. Brewer is a proper step up for Lara.
