I agree Williams would end up beating Mayweather by UD if they ever fight and thats the only fight i see Mayweather losing.Comment

This is a fight Floyd needs to take , because this is the only fight big enough to blow the Clottey fight away on the same day , which Im sure he would really like to do , and also shut every body up at the same time , its a high risk fight against a much bigger elite in prime fighter , and I think Floyd can win this as Williams did not impress me last fight , as a fan I really hopes Floyd takes it .Comment

You still have to have the guts and power to stand in with Williams, match the pace he fights at, and be able to back him off at times. Paul Williams is very lacking in his pure boxing skills, but his size and style make up for it. I don't think Floyd can match high output coming from Paul and the counter shots he does land will not be impactful enough to win him rounds. Williams is also not the same fighter Quintana beat, and people seem to ignore that he KHTFO in the rematch.I agree. Aside from height, pressure and high punch out
put, don't really see what else special Paul Williams imposes
on his opponents. I give him props for being willing to fight
whoever, whenever and bring the heat in the ring but watching
him against Quintana 1 and now Martinez, just confirmed that
he can be outboxed by a slick counter puncher with technical
ring ability. Paul lacks defense and someone who can adapt
to pressure well, can pick him apart. With that said, I would
love to see Floyd in there with him. It's funny how people say
Floyd will duck Paul BUT Mosley and Cotto ducked Paul AND
Freddie Roach, Bob Arum and Manny Pacquiao have NEVER
mentioned Manny getting in the ring with Williams so why
does Floyd get all the heat for not fighting him?
Floyd has the skills, but I wonder if he has the guts and punch output to beat Paul Williams.Comment

True! Floyd definitely has the skills to beat Paul Williams but at thisYou still have to have the guts and power to stand in with Williams, match the pace he fights at, and be able to back him off at times. point in his career, does he have the hunger and desire to take on
a tough fight?Comment

Manny would too at 142 Williams is the same on the Paconimeter rating as Mosley is , Cotto was 145 , Floyd at 147 , drop the class and he takes Clottey at 147 , but when the class is hot the bigger the fighter the smaller Pac wants them .Comment

I'm not sure what is being said here, but it makes no sense because Clottey is a massive welterweight, bigger than Cotto, and he is fighting him at 147. So there goes your "the bigger the fighter the smaller Pac wants them" theory.Comment
