Will all these media attention Pacquiao is getting...

translate into PPV numbers for Pacquiao-Clottey? Yes or No.

The way I see it, he's more popular now than he was before the failed negotiations with Floyd.

Yes it will... GBP and Mayweather's doing him a favor.

actually if this does BAD on the tills ...

it will be bad for GBP & the mayweathers when and if they lose the law suit, as it could translate that the accusations & defamations directly affected pacquiao's earning power ...

although i think good or bad publicity is still publicity, it could also go the other way...

The way I see it, Pacquiao fans would buy Pacquiao-Clottey because it would be guaranteed action. Neutral boxing fans and new fans would probably buy it because of the curiosity generated by all the media attention on Pacquiao. Pacquiao haters on the otherhand would probably buy it just to see Pacman, who in their minds is a roidie, get his ass kicked...or watch it hoping that Pacquiao wins so that Floyd would have a dancing partner in September.

The novelty of the new venue, the return of Margarito are definitely nice add ons, but as long as Pacquiao's being talked about because of the steroid allegations, he's getting media attention he otherwise would have to pay for. And just to make the media frenzy doesn't die down, the defamation suit will be there leading up to the fight. Genius.

Based on what his best PPV or his worst , or in the middle , it would have to do worse than his previous worst numbers to even get a mention in the court case and then anything above Mannys worst PPV is normal .

Right. If Pacman does well, we thank Mayweather and GBP for all the media attention. If the PPV number fall below Hatton level, the steroid accusation definitely affected the numbers...poor GBP, they lose both ways.

It may very well be good in terms of ppv numbers. Regardless of weather it was bad or good, publicity, I dont think it mattered. Any publicity can be a good thing these dayz.

Pacquiao is in the "most googled list" now right? Amazing.
