I AGREE ! Clotttey will take pac's best shots and wear diown pacquiao and after that there will be no floyd vs pac. Pac will be remembered as an all-time great who got beat by a good fighter. Pac is fast and strong but clottey is more hungry. Remember Rocky but with clottey winning. Pac? Fight mosley or paulie, leave clottey alone. Forget that cotto beat clottey and you destroyed cotto. Styles make fights and clottey is bad news for you

I think if Clottey learned from the Cotto fight and has made adjustments - particularly in his mentality - he could take it to Pac and quite possibly KO him. I was pretty mad at him the night he lost to Cotto, not because I'm a big fan of his but because the fight was his to lose and he lost it. If he can get that mental part in gear and show up to fight 12 rounds I think he has a great chance.

          But that's a big if.

If Clottey has anything that will help him win this fight its 2 things. First and foremost his chin. If after a few rounds in Clottey isn't hurt by anything Pacquiao has thrown or isn't held modest that will be bad news for Pacquiao. Second will be his counter punching. Marquez bothered Pacquiao with it, and Clottey will also. Except Clottey may be able to do it better since he can counter off his tight defense and be able to get a further reach than Marquez was. Personally I got Pacquiao winning by decision, but this fight will probably more interesting than people think. Its kinda like an ultimate offense going against an impenetrable defense.

Because I like Manny, I have a bad feeling about the choice of underrated, tough-as-nails Joshua Clottey as Pacquiao's opponent.

In my opinion, fighting Bradley, Malignaggi or even Campbell would have been wiser.

Clottey is big welterweight and has tremendous durability, so it's going to frustrate Manny in the later rounds that he couldn't hurt Clottey like he did DLH, Cotto and Hatton.

Pac should be okay as long as he doesn't waste too much energy trying to stop Clottey and leave himself too open with haymakers like the final one he caught Hatton with. In and out, keep Clottey turning and protect himself at all times, he should be able to outpoint him. Not an easy fight by any means.

I cant see Clottey pulling upset but alot of people who dont know boxing are underestimating him. Clottey is no joke. He's as strong as an ox and doesnt leave any openings. I dont see him winning but I dont see him getting blown out or KO'd.

The thing is that Pacquiao has shown that he has defensive liabilities against good boxers, it's just that guys like Cotto aren't able to handle the return fire. Clottey on the other hand will be able to because of his great defense and overall toughness. Judah, who IMO is up there with Pacquiao in terms of speed and power, threw everything but the kitchen sink at Clottey and he didn't flinch. In return he ripped him with hooks and lead straight rights, punches I could see him landing on Pacquiao as well. I could see Clottey landing the more clean, effective punches with Pacquaio having a higher workrate but mainly just hitting gloves with the occasional clean punch so it could come down to what the judges like more.

It's hard to pick against Pacquiao at this point since he continues to rise to each new challenge, but damn it's tempting in this case.
