Toney's name is NOTHING over here in Limeyland...

    Yeah, literally.

Why? Cos we never get to see him, that's why. Don King has a history of late of outpricing his promotions for our market. As it's very much a minority sport over here, then even Jones-Tarver II wasn't picked up at King's price. (Though Jones-Tarver was).

While Toney is known amongst sports fans, only one of his three heavyweight title fights has been screened in Limeyland - and that was at 4am on a minority satellite station.

Okay, granted, the time will never change due to the zone difference, but this is one foreign market where they'll struggle to sell a unification match-up to the general public, should it happen - simply because no one will have heard of Toney. One of the most controversial and expressive (not to mention talented) hws in years, and he's dying a death of obscurity over here...

This would actually be significant. If anyone actually cared about the UK.

You see, you make statements like that and I KNOW there's a brain in your head somewhere by all the satire you keep doing. But maybe you should drop the 100% jokey remarks and try and be serious once in a while.

It's WORLD championship boxing, and while any non-US territory is only a minority in the finance of it, by not exposing Toney to those territories you're cutting down on the potential regrowth and earnings of the sport.

Meh...we never get to see World Rally Championships live in this country. We're stuck with oval racing.
