The guy did fight just about everyone however he put me to sleep in most of this fights. I do have issue with the Holyfield decisions though. When a guy gets hit on the belt line, falls to the floor hands over his crotch and cries like a baby, how can you possibly not count him out? I'll tell you why because of Puerto Rican judge Joe Cortez! Just about any other ref would have ruled KO for Holyfield. In my mind, Joe Cortez is the reason we've had to suffer with John Ruiz all these years. If Ruiz would have been officially KO'd by Cortez, there would have been no third Holyfield fight and he would have had to disappear for a few years before coming back. Instead, we get a third Holyfield fight (a draw that should have been a win for Holyfield) and Ruiz was still hanging around with worse boring fights that laid ahead. Also Lennox Lewis should share some blame as well, not defending his WBA belt against Ruiz and vacating to fight Michael Grant. If Lennox would have fought Ruiz, Ruiz would have been knocked cold and maybe never heard from again...Comment
