    blame

writing this to point out a couple of things to any and all who have decided to pick a side, manny pacquiao or floyd mayweather jr.'s. based on specific arguments made.
first is the reasoning by tim smith in the new york times. he claims that blame for fallout should be placed on pacquiao because mayweather jr. had not asked manny to do anything that he in turn was not willing to do.
mr. smith, with due respect, follow that argument to its logical conclusion and face this. if i decided to jump off the brooklyn bridge would u do it too?
next argument. this just in from teddy atlas... blood loss will not drain a persons strength. ok, teddy. i've seen you round staten island. years ago i met you outside the post office on manner road right before your man was gonna fight botha.
fmj was quoted in u.s.a. today saying "pac doesn't want to take the tests"
but the question is if may wants 14 day cut-off, how many tests does he want taken before that day?

any more than 3 would be ******. even 3 could be excessive if taken on consecutive days.
if it were 2 or 3, i'm pretty sure pacquiao would have agreed. but i'm not sure and that's my point. do you know how many?...no you don't. so don't argue. you're wasting your energy.

I blame both of these ****ers for not coming to a compromise. In big fights like this, sides need to compromise. The difference was 10 days, is it THAT hard to meet in the middle? Bastards. People yap about "principle". Save me that bull****. Where's the principle in making fighters pay you if they are overweight, or refusing to fight if your opponent doesn't weigh 2 lbs below the weight limit? Where's the principle in missing a catchweight and simply paying off the opponent? It's about gaining edges through negotiating leverage, whether it be physical or psychological. Both sides refused to give in. As Jake Donovan said, they both "played big ****". And ****ed the sport of boxing with them.

Bob Arum probably didn't want it, he'd prefer to keep it in-house at Top Rank.

you must be illiterate. i just spent two posts explaining how the number of tests is as important as the cut-off days.
and if floyd wanted more than 3 tests than that's flat chickendom on his part. if pac rufused to take 2, then that would be his yellow belly.
3 in my opinion is the number that keeps both on the up and up. unless you can say how many tests floyd demanded, then you can not realistically argue blame for any one or both.
