Clottey is a tough fight for anybody at WW. Considering he'll outweigh Pac by at least 10 pounds in the ring and Josh has shown to posses a very good chin and defense, should be an interesting matchup, certainly better than the Foreman and Malignaggi ones previously discussed.

I think both camps done a great job of ****ing this fight up and it was never gona be easy with floyd and manny's ego's in the way..

The entire timeline is so incriminating it's obsurd. I don't know how anyone can doubt that this is all Arum/Pacquiao team's fault.

May 1st for Pacquiao-Mayweather - This date is shot down by Pacquiao because of elections. A March 13 date is offered, and Mayweather suprisingly accepts, Pacquiao accepts after.
Joshua Clottey "mysteriously" pulls out of Jan. 16th fight - citing bad money and the fact the fight wasn't on HBO.
Mediator - the two sides enter mediation. Both sides are sworn to secrecy
Arum breaks the silence - perhaps in a attempt to get ahead of Mayweather's team, Arum breaks the silence and blames Floyd for the fight not happening. Says Floyd refused to agree to cut off date, never mentioning the 14 day cutoff that was offered.

It's really so simple.

i'll give you a different perspective regarding this timeline, it's really simple.

team pac = mafia who produces firearms
team mayweather = kgb who produces crack
clottey = triad who sells stolen cars
matthew hatton/nate campbell/cintron = yakuza who produces counterfeit pokemon cards

mafia and kgb want to trade, and are trying to get advantage of the site, terms, and conditions of the trade. as they are trying to work on the terms and conditions, the mafia seems to have a PLAN B (dealing with the triad, in case their dealings with the kgb doesn't suit their taste), while kgb is pretty much stuck with dealing with yakuza for a way lesser profit in case their negotiations fall off.

knowing this, the mafia started getting more aggressive about the conditions of the trade, the kgb wouldn't budge and still tried to maintain their position and be aggressive themselves. the mafia finally gave a deadline and set conditions, kgb declined, both are stuck having worse profit compared to what they would have had if they worked their negotiations with each other, but kgb still suffered alot worse.

now here's the thing, would you really say that the mafia didn't really want to trade with the kgb? imo, they just know that they have the leverage in that negotiation and tried to exploit it and kgb tried to overestimate the amount of leverage they had.

that's my take on it.

it's not the fight everyone wanted to see, but it has the potential to be a war, and i think that it will be a lot more action packed than a mayweather fight........ there is just more interest in seeing pac vs floyd.
