I really, really doubt the fight his happening, but purse splits aren't based on merit anyway. They're based on box office draw.

Marquez was on a nice run, Mayweather had been off for 21 months. Who got the bigger share of the split? The guy who was involved in big PPVs.

De La Hoya had fought once in two and a half years when he faced Mayweather. Mayweather had just beaten the last two lineal WW champions. Who got the lion's share of the split? The bigger draw, DLH.

There is ZERO chance of this fight happening on March 13. Yet, amazingly, there is even LESS of a chance that Floyd would allow Paul Williams to get anywhere near 50/50 of the split.

I would not go that far, he looked rough as hell after that fight and had months to train....Martinez had 4 weeks. Floyd is gonna push for 70-30 you now that but I thin Williams should and could get it at 50-50%
