Amir Khan may fight Marcos Maidana

Khan is due to make the second defence of his title against Marcos Maidana of Argentina.

The fight has gone to purse bids and more details will be confirmed next week, with Warren confident Khan can deliver again.

"We couldn't agree terms (for the fight) and we'll see what happens next week with it," he added.

"It's a tough fight for him but he's capable. Over the last 12 months he's turned into a different fighter."

Provided Khan doesn't lose his head, he should comfortably beat Maidana. Probably by a lopsided decision. Maidana has been built up to be something he isn't because of the naivety of Ortiz, who decided to trade with a puncher with little thought to defence. Maidana is a tough fighter with good power and better fundamentals than he is probably given credit for (he isn't another Miranda at least), but I don't think he knows how to fight another way and Roach will have his tactics perfect. The only way I can see him winning is by a flash knockout and I can't see that happening thanks to Khan's much improved defence.
