and cotto not only troubled mosley with that jab, mosley was tired by mid-fight, and looked every bit of his age......that was TWO years ago.

don't be surprised to see berto make mosley look OLD and SLOW. mosley's best chance is to catch berto early, and end the night. IF by mid-fight, shane hasn't gotten to berto, or berto sees he's able to deal with shane's power, the sugar man is gonna have a long-long night.

    i think he gets stopped.
Berto is like a linebacker in terms of speed. He has all that weight on his punch and fast in the beginning but all that chunk slows him down.

    Mosley will school him.

AA is like most of those fighters who fight outta the peek a boo defence he is flat footed most of the time so you can get off first and move over after punching, that said for some reason he has a pretty efficient jab which is unexpected.
Dirrell will also have to mature mentally and be prepared for the late round rush AA will bring. He'll need to keep a fairly active tempo during the fight, but making sure he leaves enough energy to have shots with pop on them in the end.

I agree AA's jab is pretty efficient. Speaking of which, Dirrell will need to work the body, but to the sides. Many of AA's opponents try throwing down the middle, but he's good at manipulating his body, forcing them to go low or hit his arms. He also works the ref well.

Yeah thats an interesting point, will Dirrell engage AA more because of how he got jobbed against Froch? if he does then he could get himself KTFO trying to make it clear!!! that he is winning the fight.

I dont know if i would advise Dirrell to go to the body simply because if he does go to the body he will have to step in that extra 6 inch to land, which will obviously gonna give AA a better chance at countering, particularly when he pulls out, that might be where AA wide left hook could nail him as he pulls out, Dirrell does go back in a line to imo. Remember the punch that nailed Miranda second fight?

I think he needs to keep it long as much as possible and not got overexcited when he is landing, get off a combo and get outta there dont languish in there the way DLH did against Sturm.

Don't get me started on the Froch fight.

I don't mean for him to make it his number one priority, but when he's throwing a combination a body shot every now and then will be helpful, no? The thing is, AA can be swamped; he's not the greatest at countering several shots due to his peek-a-boo style defense. That defense will also allow Dirrell to see that shots coming, as they will pretty much come from a similar angle.

            Oh yeah agree with that.

I think one of the dangers for Dirrell is footwork, he does not seem to have good awareness of where he is moving when he is attacked, however AA will only probably pressure him in spurts so.....

Did you think the Froch fight was close? I personally did not think it was a close fight. I think describing it as a close fight is a distortion of the truth, now the reason i say that is because the rounds Dirrell won were won narrowly but you had to give him the rounds because he was landing clean/effective punches whilst Froch was missing and doing even less, now that is the only way that fight can be described as close imo.

I think i gave Froch 3/4 rounds tops and i was generous to him with some of those rounds if i recall, Dirrell had a point deduction which should not of stood but he still won the fight clearly!! imo.

The rounds that Dirrell won were won narrowly and that is the only thing that was close about that fight imo.

I didn't think it was close. It was a competitive fight, but a clear decision for Dirrell, as I had it 115-112. I was being a bit generous upon more viewings.

My thing is this. Yes Dirrell could been more aggressive, however, he was still making Froch miss a helluva a lot more than he was landing. Meanwhile Dirrell was landing much more. The majority of the rounds I gave Froch were in the middle, when he started roughing Dirrell up, during which Andre became a bit unglued.

It wasn't like there weren't times when Froch could've nailed him. Dirrell did corner himself on occasions, but Froch had no idea what to do. He just stared at him, and Dirrell moved out. The fact that Froch is poor at cutting off a ring and needs someone willing to stand and trade with him made him look bad.

I just downloaded the Primetime version of the fight. I'm interested to hear the British perspective. Not Bunce's though. Asking his perspective is like asking the ****ing Pope which religion is best.

BTW, did you ever see the judge's cards? The two cards that had Froch winning were very odd. One gave him 7 of the first 9 rounds, and the other, the last two rounds. Also, I thought the crowd won that fight for him. They ****in cheered for shots he completely missed with.

                Agree 100 million%

It amazes me that some fans would rather reward a guy for walking foward and landing nothing than the guy who is backing up but actually landing punches and showing better ring generalship, albeit landing sporadically but a lot more frequently than the guy coming foward.

Primetime had Dirrell winning by two points if i remember right, that was Duke McKenzie and Rawling. I cant remember if they both had it by two but im sure one of them had Froch losing by two rounds.

Yeah Buncey had Froch winning LMAO

I said on another site why did Bunce even give us opinion on who he thought he won the fight? by default he will have felt Froch won so what is the point in him voicing his opinion?

It was Thaxton. It should be no surprise that Froch came out afterward and criticized both Thaxton and Rawling. Both had Dirrell.

                  I like Duke though.

Bunce is nothing more than a hype man.
