Who ever HBO chooses on March 13th will obviously sell more PPV's

The HBO brand is too prominent in the world of boxing and which ever March 13th fight gets chosen, it will have a 24/7. The marketing budget will obviously be higher so regardless of what opponents each fighter has, THAT fight will sell more.

Question is, who will HBO choose? Mayweather has a deep connection to HBO as he's been their cashcow for a while now. But now Pacquiao has emerged as a PPV powerhouse as well. I'm kinda thinking that the fact that Pac/Clottey will be held at Cowboys stadium, HBO will lean towards his direction from the historical aspect to that. Pac/Clottey will be more competitive than any of the options Floyd has unless he goes after Martinez or Williams.

It's a very difficult position for HBO to be in. Personally, I just don't see how they can pass on an opportunity to have a fight at Cowboys stadium, that is a very impressive event.

But then again, like you said HBO & Mayweather have a great relationship, besides the announcers of course.

Honestly, Floyd should just wait and fight berto/mosley on may 1st. More money for everyone that way.

I honestly think it would depend on who mayweather got as an opponent, Mayweather vs Paulie on HBo would probably do worse than manny on top rank.

and Mayweather vs Mosely not on hbo (which wouldn't happen) would do better than Manny vs Clottey on hbo.

But if they had equal opposition, whoevers on hbo gets it

Mayweather doesn't deserve a PPV March 3rd against a 140 pounder or whatever. He's not going to fight anyone that's even REMOTELY a challenge.

If he's on PPV he's not gonna sell ****.

Well Top Rank is famous for having PPV's without HBO anyways but I think eventually Floyd will fight in early April and then fight Mosley in late July

I really think HBO will try to convince Floyd to fight on another date.

I don't think Mosley or Berto would be options for March 13th.

It would be ****** for the promoters to put those fights on the same day, no need to cannibalize the potential PPV buyers.

HBO and Mayweather doesnt have a great relationship, Both have been at odds so many times, They do have a business relationship though but Al Haymon seem to have HBO in his pocket.
