vargas has said he wanted to win the WBC title and mayorga is fighting the man who has it.....once mayorga wins vs castejjo(or however you spell it) vargas would ahve to fight mayorga for it.....CANT WAIT

That's assuming a lot though. First being that Mayorga actually wins the WBC, which isn't ever 100 percent in the bag, since anybody with even average boxing skill can run all night and get a lop-sided decision against Mayorga.
And I think Vargas would play it cautious against Mayorga and win pretty easily.Comment

That would be an awesome fight..I want to see how Mayorga looks after his loss to Tito, Most guys dont look to good after Tito beats them down, like Ried, Joppy, Vargas, they never seemed to have fully recovered. But wow..what a fight Mayorga -vs- Vargas, I think its a toss up, I dont know who will win, Vargas can box but Mayorga hits hard and has a chin 1/2.Comment

If Vargas can fight like he did when he took on Ike Quartey, he should be able to win on boxing skills alone. However, his chin got cracked by Trinidad, Oscar and a lesser opponent (forgot his name). He may never be the same fighter he once was.
If Mayorga is able to be more patient and utilize his crosses better instead of relying on haymakers, he might KO Vargas. But he's so damn thick in the head, he'll never listen to his trainers.Comment
