No way in hell Arum rolls out of bed and calls Jerry Jones.

    A day later...visits him then...

Pac-Clottey, Texas Stadium with almost a full under card is announced.

We haven't heard anyone from Top Rank mention Clottey at all... until like 2 days ago.

Since November 15th its been Floyd, Paulie and Foreman...

Out of nowhere Clottey pops up.

I think Arum had this in the work for weeks now and never wanted to fight Floyd.

    Thoughts?
Always have a plan B. With the Mayweather-Pacquaio talks, Arum had media attention with regard to the prospects of Dallas stadium for boxing. Good or bad publicity, he also got more people interested in Pacquiao (Ring Magazine in fact will even be coming out with a Pacquiao cover in February). He was able to test fan reaction to Pacquiao fighting either Foreman or Malignaggi, and while Arum likes the prospect of selling the fight as Pacquiao shooting for his 8th title, Foreman compared to Clottey is a relative unknown. Malignaggi on the otherhand is a patsy, while Clottey is a ranked WW and would actually pose a real challenge to Pacquiao. Margarito will also be on the card...so that card would have three welters Mayweather doesn't have the balls to fight.

You better belive it, that's how easy it should be. Floyd on the other hand is like trying to get him to sign his death sentence.

This fight has been in the works for a while, and Arum has likely been in touch with Jones.
