Do people really think Mosley ducked Floyd?

Come on guys don't be silly. Look at who Shane has fought, Margarito, Cotto, Wright etc guys like that, clearly a man who wants to fight anybody.

Then people bring up the whole "tooth ache" interview. If you watch that interview properly, he was just saying his tooth seems to have been knocked loose in that fight (Vargas) and he needs to sort that out and also referred to the dates of a possible match and it would have been possible the following year but Mayweather fought De La Hoya and then the latter part of 2007 it wasn't possible as Floyd fought Hatton and Mosley fought Cotto.

And vice-versa. Why did he fight Márquez instead of Mosley in 2009?

He was coming from a long retirement, he hadn't fought in 2 years, he would need more time to prepare for Mosley. Beside, he was just returning a favour, when Mosley was a bigger star than him, he didn't want any part of Floyd. I can't believe people haven't brought it up before, Mosley hasn't rejected Floyd more than once in the past.

That is completely true. I agree with that I mean I think is asking to much for him to come back straight to a Shane Mosley fight. I mean who do we think he is Sugar Ray Leonard?

It was less than 2 years but nevermind. I like Mayweather, I wanted him to beat Pacquiao. But Mosley was available last year and both Pacquiao and Floyd didn't want to fight him. If he KO's Berto I'd be stunned if they fight him this year.

I see what you did there.

He wanted to fight Pacquiao, and he wanted to proved that he would beat the guy who Pac had trouble with. I think it was just a warm-up to fight Manny Pacquiao, what better to do that than beating the man most people said Pacman had trouble with.

No, if he was ray leonard he would have invited Mosley to the center of the ring and retired right to his face, waited until mosley lost a step, then fought him on route to a robbery win.
