No way shane will be ready for Floyd come march 13....I think that should be common sense to most of this board. So with that said I can't see Shane being ready for Floyd any earlier than this summer. This is also the reason I don't see it happening for these two reasons:

    1. If they do fight in the summer that means Floyd would have not fought in almost a year and no way does he step in the ring with Mosley. Remember that was the reason he fought Marquez instead of Mosley back in September. Its the same scenario and his team would be foolish to fight Mosley unless he looks like **** against berto. So look for Floyd to take a stay busy fight in either Hatton or Malignaggi

    2. If Shane does win, He will wait atleast until after March 13 to see if something can be worked out with Pacquiao. He has hinted at his fustration with GBP and has already stated if it came down to Pacquiao or Mayweather, he would choose Pacquiao.

Bottom line Shane knows he can get a fight with Pac if he gets past Clottey March 13th. With Floyd is alot of b.s and you can tell by Shane's tone in all of his interviews he is fed up with it already. Look for Mosley vs Pac this Fall, and while most will get upset by this reply, this is what will more than likely happen.

BTW this all depends on Shane winning against Berto, which isn't a gaurantee.

And, then he ducked Floyd in 2006 after Floyd knowingly, knowingly offered Shane a fight after Vargas knowing damn well Shane said he said he was not fighting for the rest of the year. Shane even turned down a fight with Magarito in 2006 because he was not fighting the rest of the year. What a clear duck...

You want to **** on Pac fans but how long have you been watching boxing?

Good post. Finally some facts behind the duckings.

Mosley refused Margarito too after the Estrada fight, then beat him later.

Berto looked huge at the press conference in November and might drain himself to make weight.I think if he comes in good shape he`s gonna beat Mosley cause its a bad style match up for Mosley and Berto is faster then this version of Mosley. Then again in a close fight they may give it to Mosley cause him and Floyd got a big fight lined up.

And is Manny going to ask Clottey for a $10 million per pound penalty for coming in over 147? If he doesn't, then by your reasoning, he never wanted the Floyd fight.

I beleive manny refused to Floyd's request to show him he wouldn't be dictated to and pushed around more than not wanting to take the test because he's doing something illegal, which I don't beleive he is. I seriosly doubt he will demand this of Mosely and that will look more like the Mayweather camp never really wanted the fight because they knew Pacquiaos camp would never agree to the terms and than would try and turn the blame around. If they make the same request to Mosley I will agree that May really wanted the fight but wont mean Manny is guilty of anything, but I'm sure this won't even come up in the Mosley negotiations.

So Bob Arum will indeed deprive me of seeing Mayweather school Pac...I can see easily that be would rather Pac get beaten by a Top Rank fighter, huge insult to the fans, I'm done with boxing for now.

has clottey ever weighed past an agreed weight limit?
